Administration of Justice Studies
Kayleigh recently received her diploma from Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ with an AAS in Administration of Justice. She wrote that she wouldn’t have been able to complete her degree without the support of the Brian Terry Foundation scholarship program. Not only was she grateful to receive the scholarships, but she was also proud to honor Brian and hopes to continue to honor him wherever She goes and wherever her degree takes her.
Police officer in Plano, Texas
I will always be so thankful that I was a recipient of the Brian Terry Scholarship Award. Not only did this scholarship provide an easier means for me to attain my degree, it opened up my awareness to the dangers that are inside and outside the United States. Reading about Brian Terry’s legacy inspired me even more to live a life of service. I realized about halfway through college that it was my calling to protect and serve my own community that I grew up in. It was time to give back to a place I’ve called home for over 24 years. I am proud to be a police officer and grateful to have a supportive community. Thank you so much to the Brian Terry Foundation for providing an easier route for me to get my degree!

Police Officer, Detroit
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in May of 2019.When I began college, I did not qualify for a lot of scholarships. I began to research more, and I found the Brian Terry Foundation scholarship. Once I read the objectives of the foundation itself, I knew I would be honored to be even be an applicant of this scholarship program
I was honored to be one of the recipients for 2018-2019. With this scholarship, I was able to continue going to school and receiving my Bachelors degree. As of November 2019, I graduated the police academy and became a Detroit Police Officer. I keep this foundation close to my heart, keep the fallen in my mind & heart whenever I step into roll call. The Brian Terry Foundation is rewarded to those who hold the qualities of integrity, justice and put their best foot forward to serve just like the honorable Brian Terry. This foundation is more than just the scholarship reward, it also aids you to remember those who fought before you.
